Here’s an excerpt: “It’s much more shoot-from the hip. This is much more exciting. It’s all experimental, I wanted to see if it could be done–to see if you could create a live travel narrative in real time (or as close to real time as possible). So it does challenge the orthodoxy of travel writing as memoir. Where you have more time to put it all together and make it sound pretty. Here, every second as I’m going, I’m thinking, ‘what am I experiencing right now?’ And that’s what I send out into the world–my hope being that when you string it all together it makes a nice necklace of a story.”
