The 2011 edition of the Time 100 list included six writers.

The magazine counted Pulitzer Prize-winner Jennifer Egan, fantasy author George R.R. Martin, memoir-writer Amy Chua, pregnancy guide writer Heidi Murkoff, novelist Jonathan Franzen, Huffington Post founder and author Arianna Huffington among “the most influential people in the world.”

Who is missing on this list? Curtis Sittenfeld, John Hodgman, and Michael Lewis praised Egan, Martin, and Franzen in the issue. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, reality TV personality Michelle Duggar, and Time editor-at-large Belinda Luscombe wrote the ones for Chua, Murkoff, and Huffington.
