Country singer Tim McGraw has inked a book deal with Hachette Books for a new book based on his hit single, “Humble and Kind.”
The book will include lyrics and drawings inspired by the song. The song is about his daughter moving off to college and the book will drop on May 17, in time for the gift giving season for graduates. McGraw wrote an intro to the book and lyricist Lori McKenna wrote an epilogue.

McGraw said in a statement issued through Hachette that he was proud the song “speaks equally to the world and the individual.” He is donating proceeds from the book to charity.
