There’s a New Imprint Coming to Town

By Neal

Technically, I think that if you send me an embargoed press release without asking me if I’ll respect an embargo first, I could just go ahead and run with the news if I wanted, but I’ll let it go this time and just tell you that a VP at a big midtown publisher is about to be publicly appointed as the associate publisher of a new American version of an imprint the parent company already runs in Europe, which hitherto has been distributed by another publisher. This move can be interpreted as strengthening the still-developing bonds between the American and European divisions of the conglomerate in question, as the new imprint extends its tentacles directly into a major new market.

And, yes, there are enough clues in that last sentence that you should be able to put it together by the time the embargo is lifted, all except for the name of the lucky VP.
