The New York Review Children’s Collection to Celebrate its 10th Anniversary

looogoooBack in November 2003, New York Review Books launched its children’s collection to bring classic titles to today’s kids.

In honor of its tenth anniversary, the company will host an event featuring a panel of children’s literature experts to talk about the evolution of children’s publishing. This event will take place on November 10, 2013 at New York City’s McNally Jackson Books. Editor Edwin Frank had this statement in the press release:

“The New York Review Children’s Collection set out a decade ago to bring back into print the beautiful picture books and wonderful stories that for whatever reason had slipped through the cracks of contemporary publishing. The treasures we’ve turned up along the way, very much thanks to advice from booksellers, editors, agents, and above all readers old and young, never cease to surprise and delight. Getting these books out there is a mission for sure, but also a joy.”
