The New York Public Library took on an internet challenge called the “mannequin challenge.” The video features a team of employees frozen in place inside the Rose Main Reading Room.

Here’s more from The New York Times: “In this latest viral video genre, groups of people are gathering and freezing themselves in place, often in elaborate poses and scenarios, as one camera-toting person walks through the scene to zoom in on the details. As is often the case, teenagers are leading the way.”

The piece contains references to movies that were shot at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building including Ghost Busters and Sex & The City. Would you try out this trendy activity? (via the NYPL Facebook page)
