The L.A. Times Reveals 2013 Book Prize Finalists

latimesbookprizeJohn Grisham, “Robert Galbraith” (aka J.K. Rowling), Doris Kearns Goodwin, A. Scott Berg, Joe Sacco, Percival Everett, Claire Messud, Rainbow Rowell, Alan Weisman, and Gene Luen Yang are among the finalists for The Los Angeles Times’ 2013 Book Prize.

The newspaper announced all of the finalists for the 34th annual L.A. Times Book Prize today. The list include 50 books in 10 categories including: biography, current interest, fiction, graphic novel/comics, history, mystery/thriller, poetry, science and technology, and young adult literature. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in April.

In addition, John Green will be awarded with the Innovators Award and Susan Straight with the Kirsch Award for lifetime achievement. Here is more from the site:

Bestselling young adult novelist John Green will be presented with the Innovators Award for his dynamic use of online media to entertain and engage.
