Looking for recommendations for your summer reading list? The Guardian is slowly revealing a list of the top 100 best nonfiction books of all time, which is full of great suggestions.

“The Observer has embarked on a two year quest to come up with a list of books that have shaped the Anglo-American imagination,” explains the publication.

The quest began back in January. The newspaper released No. 15 this week: The Double Helix by James D. Watson, a book about how two Cambridge scientists discovered the secrets of DNA. The Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert, a book about how mankind is killing the planet is No. 1 on the list.
