To celebrate Earth Day, HarperCollins and Aimer Media have a new app available based on the Fragile Earth book series. Like the books, the app uses birds eye photography to show how the Earth is evolving in modern times.
For example, readers can compare aerial shots of Las Vegas as a small city in 1973 with shots of it as a sprawling metropolis in 2000. But unlike the books, the app has interactive features like being able to swipe between before and after shots of the same location. The app is currently being offered at a discounted price of $.99 (down from $2.99) through April 28th.
