The Blaze Adds Book Section Powered By Copia

eBook company Copia Interactive has partnered with online news outlet The Blaze to bring eBooks to news readers.

The Blaze’s new books vertical includes a social networking feature in which readers can discuss books related to the news in the margins.

AppNewser has more: “The platform, which is powered by Copia, is curated by Blaze news editors. Readers can use the platform to start their own reading clubs and groups. To promote the launch, the site is highlighting a new book by author Buck Sexton. Discussions about his new eBook, Occupy: American Spring – The Making of a Revolution, are featured on the site along with commentary and annotations from Sexton himself.”

Blaze editor-in-chief Scott Baker had this comment: “We have always wanted The Blaze to be a place to get more than just the key news of the day.  Breaking news is always best balanced by deeper wisdom.  That context of ideas and argument will be central to the role of Copia on The Blaze. Allowing visitors to The Blaze to have a home base for those kinds of discussion will be an amazing opportunity. Access to a vast array of thoughtful books is only part of the equation. The unlimited opportunity to explore the most critical ideas of our time is what we want to offer.”
