Terry Pratchett’s Final Book Gets Deluxe Edition

By Dianna Dilworth

Terry Pratchett‘s final novel, The Shepherd’s Crown, is getting a collector’s edition.

The luxury version of the final Discworld novel comes in a foiled ‘honeycomb’ slipcase. The print run will be limited to only 500 books and each copy will be numbered and stamped by Rob Wilkins, Terry’s close friend, using Terry’s ‘Order of the Honeybee’ insignia. The book, which comes out in November, will only be available through British bookseller Waterstones. It costs £100. Here is more about the edition from the retailer’s book listing:

The endpapers feature two never-before-seen colour illustrations: the landscape of Granny Weatherwax’s home in Lancre, and Tiffany Aching’s beloved Chalk. The exclusive signed and numbered print will feature an image of Tiffany standing on the Chalk, accompanied by the Wee Free Men. This is the image that Paul Kidby says he wanted to draw to honour Terry.
