Tentative.ly Can Sort Your Literary Events

By Jason Boog

Tired of reading about literary events and then forgetting about them? The new Tentative.ly service will let you save events from your favorite webpages with quick clicks–it works with everything from email invitations to Facebook pages to online listings.

Here’s a simple explanation of the free service: “Tentative.ly includes a reminder system to recognize when an event starts and when it ends. If an event is too far from your foreseeable calendar, you’re not sure whether you can make it, or if something better might land on your lap, just bookmark it. When the time is right, we’ll nudge, you decide. Think of it as your repository of potential, a wish list of upcoming events, a could-do for your social life … Each week, we aggregate your upcoming events into one newsletter so you can decide which ones to check out.”

We’ve been testing the service as we plan our literary calendar, it seems like a practical solution for readers–like an Instapaper app for events. How do you keep track of events?
