Stephen Colbert Wins Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album

america againComedian Stephen Colbert won this year’s Best Spoken Word Album Grammy for the America Again: Re-becoming The Greatness We Never Weren’t audiobook.

Hachette Audio released it on October 02, 2012. The four other nominees were Let’s Explore Diabetes With Owls author David Sedaris, The Storm King author Pete Seeger, Carol and Me author Carol Burnett, and Still Foolin’ ‘Em author Billy Crystal.

Past winners in this category include Society’s Child author Janis Ian, If You Ask Me (and of Course You Won’t) author Betty White, and Earth (The Book) author Jon Stewart & The Daily Show writers. This marks the second time Colbert won a Grammy Award; he snatched up a Grammy in 2010 for Best Comedy Album.
