By Jason Boog

Lucasfilm Archives and Epic Ink have teamed up for a limited edition 5,000-copy run of Star Wars: The Blueprints, collecting futuristic designs from the beloved science fiction series. We’ve embedded the book trailer above–what do you think?

Here’s more about the book: “For the first time, here you will see the initial concepts behind such iconic Star Wars scenes as the Rebel blockade runner hallways, the bridge of General Grievous’s flagship, the interior of the fastest ‘hunk of junk’ in the Galaxy, and Jabba the Hutt’s palace. Never before seen craftsmanship and artistry is evident whether floating on the Death Star, escaping on a speeder bike, or exploring the Tatooine Homestead.”

Author J. W. Rinzler will write “exhaustive and insightful commentary” about the blueprints. The books will be sold for two different prices. Copies # 1-125 will be hand-numbered and signed by three designers from the film, selling for $1,000. Copies #126-5,000 will also be hand numbered, selling for $500. (Via io9)
