Sportscaster Len Berman Authors His Fourth Children’s Book

bermanbook4.JPGFormer WNBC weeknight sportscaster Len Berman recently released his fourth publication, The 25 Greatest Baseball Players of All Time. He held his most famous job for two decades. His expertise in sports equips him with the necessary knowledge to author children’s books on the subject.

Berman’s first kidlit publication, And Nobody Got Hurt!: The World’s Weirdest, Wackiest True Sports Stories came out in 2005. He followed it with a sequel And Nobody Got Hurt 2! in 2007. His 2009 title, The Greatest Moments in Sports sold well enough to become a New York Times bestseller.

Berman decided not to be the sole judge of who should be included in the book. He told Fishbowl NY, “This one I decided to have a blue-ribbon panel make the choices, because I didn’t want to be responsible for who’s in and who’s out.” The jury panel included former All-Star pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers Ralph Branca, former Yankee Bernie Williams, veteran baseball executive Roland Hemond, sports journalist Frank DeFord and Sirius/XM radio host Chris “Mad Dog” Russo.
