Simon & Schuster has introduced a new imprint called Simon451. The imprint is dedicated to publishing fiction with a focus on science fiction, fantasy, and works with dystopian, apocalyptic, and supernatural themes.
The imprint will publish both print and eBook titles but will focus on digital-first publishing. The company plans to test serialized novels and original short stories, and will re-issue backlist titles digitally.
The first book from the imprint is called EarthEnd Saga by X-Files actress Gillian Anderson and co-writer Jeff Rovin. The book, which is slated for an October release, will be the first in a series. The Undying by Ethan Reid, a dystopian novel set in Paris, will also come out in October.
