Simon & Schuster Videos Coming to Your TV

By Jason Boog

Ever wish you could watch book trailers on your television?

If you, like this GalleyCat editor, watch streaming video on your television through a Roku box, you can soon use the device to stream videos from Simon & Schuster. The deal is part of a series of video partnerships launched by the publisher, bringing literary videos to AOL, the Blinkx video search engine and the Taboola video platform.

Here’s more about the deal: “Simon & Schuster video will soon be available on your TV as anyone with a ROKU box (a set top box that allows video streaming through your television) will be able to tune into Simon & Schuster’s branded channels.  S&S videos will be periodically promoted in the Roku Channel Guide as people browse the service.”

According to the publisher, Simon & Schuster produces an average of 40 videos a month. The archive now counts 3,200 videos, including The Hunger Pains trailer embedded above.
