Today Simon & Schuster announced the launch of simonandschuster.biz–a clean new website for booksellers, businesses, authors, agents, and journalists.

The site features handy buttons for each imprint at the corporate publisher, along with handy links to book catalogs, speaker information, and, best of all, author promotion tips. The promotions tip page contains helpful links for authors to help them use everything from YouTube to MySpace to GoodReads.

Here’s more from eBookNewser: “The new site utilizes the same clean, organized front end as the relaunched consumer site, featuring a carousel at the top. It also contains the same book detail and author pages as the consumer site. But there are also a ton of useful media resources that could make it so you never have to call an S&S publicist again, including press releases, jacket art, and imprint-specific pages. The site also helps S&S authors partner and link their own promotions to the S&S mother ship. Our favorite feature, of course, is the ability to request eGalleys of S&S titles, presumably by contacting the publicist on the book detail page of a particular book.”
