Voynich 200 (GalleyCat)Siloe, a publishing house based in Spain, announced plans to re-create and publish the infamous Voynich manuscript. The actual codex can be found in the Beinecke library’s vault at Yale University.

NPR reports that the company has secured permission from the Beinecke to produce 898 replicas of the book. Each one will be sold for €7,000 to €8,000 (approximately $8,000 to $9,000 USD).

Here’s more from The Guardian: “It’s one of the world’s most mysterious books, a centuries-old manuscript written in an unknown or coded language that no one has cracked. Scholars have spent their lives puzzling over the Voynich manuscript, whose intriguing mix of elegant writing and drawings of strange plants and naked women has some believing it holds magical powers.” (via The Washington Post)
