Amazon has named the most well-read cities in the U.S. for 2016 and Seattle holds its spot at No. 1.
The Seattle-based retailer determined this by measuring sales for all books, magazines and newspapers sales in both print and Kindle format from April 2015 to April 2016 on a per capita basis for cities with 500,000 residents.
The data revealed that The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins was the top-selling Kindle and print book in five of the top 10 cities: Portland, Austin, Tucson, Albuquerque, and San Diego. In addition, California had three cities on top 20 list for the second year in a row: San Francisco, San Diego, and San Jose.
We’ve got the entire list after the jump.
