overdrive304eBooks from more than 20,000 schools and libraries in the U.S. are now available to be used with Amazon’s Kindle FreeTime, thanks to a new offering from digital book distributor OverDrive.

This essentially means that kids and parents can access school library eBooks from the library within the FreeTime feature on their Kindle Fire. The service is free on Kindle Fire tablets. Parents can use the platform to set goals and measure their children’s reading progress.

Readers can borrow eBooks from libraries and schools by following these instructions, or through the “Manage Content & Subscription” section in FreeTime.
