Scholastic Education has expanded its leadership team, a move that helps support the company’s district- and state-level initiatives.

Ron Mirr has been hired as the new Senior Vice President of Learning Supports & FACE. Tonya Leslie has joined the company as the new Vice President & Publisher of Learning Supports & FACE. Dr. Rhonda Neal Waltman is now the company’s Director of Consulting Services for Learning Supports.

Mirr has almost 30 years of experience working with K–12 schools and social service agencies and is co-author of the Family Engagement Assessment. He comes to Scholastic from  his own consulting firm. In his new position, Mirr will develop products and services for school districts.

Leslie brings almost 20 years of educational publishing experience to the table. She is returning to Scholastic after taking a break to work on her Ph.D. In her new position, she will lead publishing for Learning Supports and FACE.

Waltman brings more than 30 years of experience in education. A former teacher, counselor, principal and assistant superintendent, Walkman developed a nationally recognized program that brought educational services to displaced students after Hurricane Katrina. In her new role, she will help implement Scholastic Learning Supports in districts around the country.
