Scholastic has acquired the worldwide rights to publish a new baseball-themed book series by a Major League baseball player and his wife, a former teacher.
Ryan Howard and Krystle Howard will work together on the chapter book series which is aimed at readers aged 7-10 years old. “We have a passion for education and understand the importance of engaging children to read,” explained the writers in a statement. “In this series, we’re bringing to life the excitement of baseball and pairing it with the challenges and life lessons our children face on a daily basis. We are truly excited for the readers to go with us, on this amazing journey, as they get to know and love Little Rhino.”
The first book in the collection Little Rhino and is slated for publication next spring.
