Apparently, Trident Media Group has inspired two multi-million dollar bidding wars in a single week.
According to the NY Observer, sources report that bidding for Sarah Silverman’s upcoming book has broken the $2.5 million mark. In that same eye-popping piece, other sources speculate that Jerry Seinfeld’s new book proposal has garnered bids of $7 to $8 million. Both comedians are clients at Trident Media Group.
The article sums up the stunned responses from publishing types: “[J]udging by the reaction Media Mob has heard from agents, literary scouts and publishers who aren’t pursuing the book, whoever ends up winning is going to have some explaining to do.”
