Sarah Palin Book Shares Tawdry Details

By Dianna Dilworth

In Joe McGinniss‘ new book, The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin, the reporter included tawdry allegations of drug use and affairs. As news outlets reviewed the book last week, new details surfaced.

The Huffington Post has more: “McGinniss’s book also alleges that Palin had an extramarital affair with her husband’s business partner, Brad Hanson, in the mid-1990s, and snorted cocaine off a 55-gallon oil drum while snowboarding.”

While McGinniss admitted that he admired Palin as a woman, he dismissed her as a presidential candidate. The LA Times quoted the book: “[N]o matter how much my book sales might benefit from a Palin presidential campaign in 2012, I sincerely hope that the whole extravaganza, which has been unblushingly underwritten by a mainstream media willing to gamble the nation’s future in exchange for the cheap thrill of watching a clown in high heels on a flying trapeze, is nearing the end of its run.”
