After winning the right to run Samedaybooks following a 1 billion pound takeover bid, Deputy chairman Charles Denton is now in discussions to acquire an online book retailing service, according to the Bookseller. The news was revealed after the group’s share price doubled on market speculation, though the company did not reveal the identity of the online bookseller targeted. It is also in preliminary negotiations to buy internet auction company Auction Assist.
