By Dianna Dilworth

Revolution Books, a community driven indie bookstore, hopes to raise $30,000 by September 30th in a fight to keep its West 26th Street location in Manhattan.

The store will host an an author series this summer called, “Hidden Lives, Human Possibilities: Authors Present to Save Revolution Books.” It will feature evening events with Edwidge Danticat, Walter Mosley,  and Henry Wiencek.

The events will be held at the bookstore. Danticat will be in attendance on July 24th, Mosley on August 21st and Wiencek on September 10th. General admission is $35. Premium tickets are $100 and include a book signed by the author.

The bookstore also has a Donate & Sustain program, collecting monthly fees from donors who’d like to help support the bookstore.

They offer a $10 a month sustainer membership for students and the unemployed, as well as a $1000 a month sustainer level for those supporters with ample cash to spare, and everything in between. The $35 a month level will get you six free books a year.
