Rebecca Saletan has been hired as editorial director of Riverhead Books, one month after she resigned from her post at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

When Saletan resigned as adult trade publisher at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in December, the news was followed by a wave of restructuring publishers around the country. She has moved to the Penguin division that handles Sloane Crosley, Aleksandar Hemon, and Junot Diaz.

Following the announcement, Saletan told the AP: “I have long admired this publisher, and in a very challenging time in the industry I am so thrilled to be at a house that is a paragon of stability and foresight.” (Link via.)
