During her speech, Bellingham listed the benefits of reading aloud regardless of whether or not a child is able to “read on their own.” She also made references to several beloved books such as Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White, Wonder by R.J. Palacio, and Number the Stars by Lois Lowry.
