Readers Recommend the Best YA for Adults

graveyard book.jpgThere were Mockingjay midnight release parties all around the country last night. Brooklyn’s Word bookstore hosted a Hunger Games event specifically for adults and sold out on August 19th.

Given that so many adults are fans of YA titles, we posted about the best YA books for adults in July. Our Facebook users recommended more titles. They are:

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman (apparently the audio book version where Gaiman narrates is “dreamy”)

Eli the Good by Silas House

When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick

A Countess Below Stairs by Eva Ibbotson

Ways to Live Forever by Sally Nicholls

Reader McCormak points out that TK wrote a list with YA titles for adults back in 2009.
