Promotions & New Hires at Random House Children’s Books

The Random House Children’s Books marketing department has hired Kimberly Lauber as its director of marketing and Laura Antonacci as senior manager of library marketing.

Seven members of the marketing team also received promotions: Kerri Benvenuto (executive director of marketing, licensing, and proprietary brands), Rachel Feld (executive director of consumer development), Lynn Kestin (director of content development), Lauren Adams (marketing coordinator), Nora MacDonald (associate marketing manager), Santhana Souksamrane (producer), Linda Camacho (marketing associate), and Beth Conte (executive director of marketing, production, and operations).

A number of publishers have also announced promotions and hirings this past week.

Daniel Chabon has been promoted to associate editor at Dark Horse Comics. Some of the projects Chabon will be working on include Hellboy, Kiss Me, Satan!, and Alabaster.

Gabrielle Gantz is the new online publicity manager at Little, Brown and Company. In the past, Gantz has worked on campaigns for several high profile authors including Augusten Burroughs and Lev Grossman.

Jeffrey Batzli has been hired as the creative director at Rodale Books. Batzli spent more than thirteen years of his career working as a creative director for Barnes & Noble’s publishing ventures.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt also announced two . Jen Reynolds will join the company as a national accounts manager. Morgan Gould has received a promotion; she will serve as both a national accounts manager and a distribution client sales manager.

Over at Storey Publishing, Jennifer Travis has been made director of contracts. Travis will continue serving as a managing editor.

The company has brought on Emily Spiegelman to fulfill the role of digital features editor. Prior to this development, Spiegelman worked at the Collaborative for Educational Services organization.
