Prize Winning Argentine Author Survives as Cleaner

23158829It’s hard to make a living as a writer. Award winning Argentine author Enrique Ferrari knows this better than anyone.

The crime writer who has published five novels and two short story collections which have been translated into several languages, works as a subway cleaner in Buenos Aires. He writes on his breaks and at night. Yahoo News has the scoop:

“I understand that people find it surprising, but I am not a strange creature. There are lots of we laborers who write, paint or play music,” says Ferrari, an easygoing man who himself laughs about his disparate vocations.
