Prince has signed a book deal with the Penguin Random House imprint, Spiegel & Grau.
Here’s more from The New York Times: “The singer said that the memoir was tentatively titled The Beautiful Ones, after a song from his 1984 album, Purple Rain. Prince added that he was at work on the book with ‘my brother Dan’ — the writer and editor Dan Piepenbring of The Paris Review, who is assisting the musician on what will be his first book.”
According to The Wall Street Journal, Chris Jackson, an executive editor, negotiated the deal with Esther Newberg and Dan Kirschen, two literary agents from ICM Partners. The publication date has been scheduled for 2017. (via Rolling Stone)
