Legendary R&B singer Prince has died.
Just last month, the Minneapolis artist revealed that he had signed a book deal with the Penguin Random House imprint, Spiegel & Grau. According to TMZ, Prince had finished about 50 pages of the book before he died.
The notoriously private rock star was tentatively planning to call the book The Beautiful Ones, after a song from his 1984 album Purple Rain. He was reportedly working on the book with writer and editor Dan Piepenbring of The Paris Review. The book was slated for publication in 2017.
