Amazon sold more Amazon devices than ever on its second annual Prime Day, the retailer’s day of massive sales which took place yesterday.
According to Amazon, the company sold more Fire TV, Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers and Alexa-enabled devices yesterday than ever before. The company revealed that sales of Amazon devices were up over 3x compared to Prime Day last year. In addition, the company sold “hundreds of thousands of Kindle e-readers” on Prime Day.
In addition, the Seattle-based e-commerce giant revealed that customer orders on Prime Day 2016 increased by 60 percent globally and by 50 percent in the U.S., as compared to 2015.
