Elon Musk 200 (GalleyCat)The price of an out-of-print book has skyrocketed thanks to an endorsement from Elon Musk. Tom Radall, a Bloomberg reporter, asked Musk about what he is currently reading during a press conference and the Tesla Motors CEO (who is an avid reader) answered, “Twelve Against the Gods.”

Here’s more from Business Insider: “The book he’s referring to is Twelve Against the Gods: The Story of Adventure by William Bolitho, a South African journalist, which was published in 1929. The book chronicles 12 ‘adventurers’ (as Bolitho describes them), from Casanova to Woodrow Wilson to Napoleon (both I and III).”

Currently, only two used copies of Bolitho’s nonfiction book are available on Amazon.com; one is priced at $300 and the other is priced at $595. In the past, Musk (pictured, via) has publicly shared a number of book recommendations including J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, Walter Isaacson’s Einstein: His Life and Universe, and Nick Bostrom’s Superintelligence: Paths, Dangers, Strategies. (via Fortune Magazine)
