According to Friday’s poll, more than half of you have been persuaded that Oprah WInfrey is going to tap David Wroblewski and The Story of Edgar Sawtelle for her book club Friday—and now it turns out we weren’t even the first to figure it out!
Back on August 18, the Early Bird blog called attention to a sharp-eyed librarian who put the clues together and came up with Edgar Sawtelle… and though they also took a brief digression towards the new Paulo Coelho, they’re more certain about the Wroblewski now.
(That said, an old friend emailed over the weekend to put in a longshot guess for the new Dennis Lehane novel, The Given Day, although the price point and street date are off—which makes it seem more likely that this is just William Morrow‘s big fall fiction, as well, if the opening pages are any indication, it should be.)
