Postman Helps Kid That Reads Junk Mail Get Books

A postman in Utah has helped a 12 year-old boy get access to books, thousands of them.

“Today while delivering mail to his apartment complex, I saw him reading ads, and then he asked me if I had any extra mail he could read. He told me his wish is to have books to read,” Ron Lynch, the postman wrote in a Facebook post seeking book donations.

He suggested that the boy visit the library, but the boy said that he didn’t have a car and couldn’t afford to bus pass to get there. “Most kids his age want electronics! It’s great to see his desire, and you should have seen him beam when I said I could help,” continued Lynch in the request.

After the plea went viral, the little boy ended up with thousands of books from donors around the globe. He is very excited to start reading them and to share them with other kids. (Via ABCNY).
