Poets & Writers has introduced an app designed to help writers connect with readers and promote book events.
The app is called Poets & Writers Local, and aims to be a resource for sharing info on literary events. The tool includes listings for readings, book signings, poetry slams and so forth. Writers can use the free tool to help promote their events and readers can use it to find readings in their area.
“In short, it will do for bookish types what Zagat does for foodies, what Fandango does for film buffs, and what HopStop does for straphangers: provide precise, detailed, local information when and where it is needed,” explains the press release.
