Poetry: There’s an App for That, Too

By David

Picture 1.png The Poetry Foundation has released its first iPhone app, designed to let you take some poems on the go.

Features include a search function (“Gee, what is that poem I really like with that line about the wheelbarrow?”), a categorized archive (“I could really use more poems about wheelbarrows.”), and a function that delivers a random poem with a simple shake of the device (“I’m sick of wheelbarrow poems, let’s find something new.”)

This is a great idea. Is there a fiction equivalent? We can think of at least one, by the small press Featherproof Books. But that just offers Featherproof stories; what about an app that functions like a massive anthology? If not, GalleyCat thinks someone better get on that.
