The award was established in 1984. Robinson now belongs to an illustrious group including Wayson Choy, Paul Quarrington, Guy Vanderhaege, and Helen Humphreys. Robinson will receive his prize on October 30th.

Robinson’s reaction: “I am honoured to be awarded the 2010 Harbourfront Festival Prize. Having looked at the list of previous recipients, I believe it is a privilege to be in such august company and I find it incredibly encouraging that the committee has chosen to recognize crime fiction in this way.” (Via the National Post)
