Perseus Partners With FedEx to Expedite Book Orders

The Perseus Books Group has teamed up with FedEx in hopes of helping to improve shipments to bookstores across the United States.

By partnering with the shipping company, Perseus aims to speed up ship times on orders from bookstores. Through the partnership, all books should be delivered within an average of two days of shipping from the Perseus distribution center in Jackson, Tenn. The deal goes into effect on Oct. 19.

“We are paying more attention than ever to our systems and logistics,” stated David Steinberger, Perseus Books CEO. “We have heard from our partners at the ABA that getting books back into stores rapidly and consistently makes a world of difference in growing sales for both the stores and for publishers. We’re extremely pleased to be getting books back into the market, onto bookstore shelves and into readers’ hands more quickly.”
