Penolope Cruz (pictured, via) has signed on for a role in the forthcoming Murder on the Orient Express film adaptation. The story for this project comes from Agatha Christie’s 1934 mystery novel.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Cruz joins a cast that includes Johnny Depp, Josh Gad, Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Michael Pena, Judi Dench, and Kenneth Branagh. In addition to portraying the lead protagonist Detective Hercule Poirot, Branagh will also serve as the director.
