Paula Hawkins Novel Named Audiobook of the Year

By Maryann Yin

Girl On The Train Cover (GalleyCat)The Audio Publishers Association has announced the winners of this year’s Audie Awards. We’ve posted the full list of winners below.

The Girl on the Train captured the Audiobook of the Year award. The narration was performed by three readers: Clare Corbett, Louise Brealey, and India Fisher.

The judging panel gave this statement in the press release: “A trio of skilled narrators pulls listeners into the psychological suspense of Paula Hawkins’ The Girl on the Train. The ‘trust no one’ twists and possible unreliability of the three central women compel the listening experience and make this a great choice to recommend to audiobook fans or newcomers to the format. With storytelling this good, it’s clear to see why the audiobook continues to gain fans across a broad market.”
