01Paul Tremblay, the president of the Board of Directors for the Shirley Jackson Awards, has landed a six-figure deal with HarperCollins’s William Morrow imprint.

Tremblay has a literary horror novel in-the-works entitled A Head Full of Ghosts. The story stars a young girl named Merry Barrett whose life takes a chaotic turn when her “seemingly idyllic suburban home devolves into a house of horrors.” The publisher has scheduled a release date for summer 2015.

Tremblay’s contract is for two books; so far no information has been revealed about the second title. Jennifer Brehl, executive editor and director of editorial development at the publishing house, negotiated the deal with Stephen Barbara, an agent at Foundry Literary + Media. Brehl has secured North American rights. (Photo Credit: F. Brett Cox)
