What does Paul McCartney listen to while touring America? Audiobooks.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the ex-member of The Beatles tripped out over an audiobook version of Charles Bock’s critically-acclaimed novel, “Beautiful Children,” during a desert road trip. If you want to read more about Bock, GalleyCat interviewed the author earlier this year.
Here’s an excerpt from the Review-Journal article, including McCartney’s thoughts on the stack of audiobooks he brought for the trip: “A couple of them were kind of dry, one of them was a nice sort of crime adventure, then we got to this ‘Beautiful Children.’ Man, I tell you, it’s so hard-core … That’s what I think of now when I think of Vegas.”
