Party with Swimsuit Models and Support The Paris Review

detail.jpgWhile supporting a venerable literary journal, well-heeled readers are bidding thousands of dollars to attend a swimsuit party.

In an auction to benefit The Paris Review, donated prizes have received some generous bids. Prizes include: great tickets and a walk-on role in Hair, spending a day on the set as an extra in a new film with Oscar-winner Stephen Gaghan, and two tickets to the 2010 New Yorker Festival. Bids will be accepted until Dec. 22, 2009, so get out your checkbook to support the journal.

The hottest prize in the auction is a trip to a Sports Illustrated swimsuit party, and bids have already topped $2,700: “This is one ticket — make that two — that you just don’t want to miss out on! One lucky duck and a companion will be admitted to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Premiere Party to be held in New York City in 2010 (location to be determined). This is one experience you don’t want to miss out on! Donated by: Terry McDonnel, Managing Editor, Sports Illustrated.” (Photo via the auction)
