Oyster, the subscription eBook service that gives readers unlimited access to a library of than 100,000 titles, is now available as an iPad app.

The iPad app is optimized for the device and provides an eReading experience similar to other eReader apps. It has a landscape mode and you can swipe between the pages with a cross fade transition. The Version 1.1 update also brings about new features for both the iPhone and the iPad app including an updated home screen. The home screen now features more recommendations based on your recent activity, as well as recently added books. In addition, now every genre has a ”Recommended for You” section to the book … They added 2,000 new books in the past two weeks. Once you are a member, you can read as many titles as you like at a time, in the same way that you can watch an unlimited number of films on your Netflix account.
