OMG, Simon & Schuster Seeks Senior Editor for Teen Books

Do you understand why getting ignored by your sophomore crush is, like, the end of the world? Are you in tune with the minds of a teenagers? Simon & Schuster’s Books For Young Readers division is looking for a new senior editor to focus on editing and acquiring titles for the imprint’s teen market.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for editing 10-15 frontlist titles per year and overseeing an equal amount of paperback reprints. Take some time to bone up on cheerleading, pop culture and the paranormal as you’ll be working on a number of important properties, including Kieran Scott’s books, Hilary Duff’s novels and Tonya Hurley’s BLESSED series.

The ideal candidate should have strong writing and editing skills, as well as previous experience with teen books. Those who are highly organized go-getters with a true interest in the market will be the first to be considered. Interested? Apply here.
