The New York Public Library is opening its outdoor reading room today in midtown.

“The Outdoor Reading Room 2015: Read Everywhere!” will be available on the plaza of the library’s landmark Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street.

The outdoor reading space will offer librarian-recommended books, author talks, a book swap, and a wall where readers can share their favorite summer reads. The space will operate from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday until July 17 (weather permitting).
